ICT CLUB

The ICT Club of Mahamaya Girls’ College has a long history and presently it is one of the most popular associations of the school.Annually students get the opportunity to take part in various activities and competitions organized by the ICT Club. The students from Grade 10-13 are eligible to get the membership of this club; all the teachers of the ICT Department are in charge of it. At the beginning of every year office bearers of the new committee are elected.
The club aims to improve the ICT skills of its members by nurturing their creative and programming skills, and sharpening their research and presentation skills. The club also aims to promote innovation among its members as they seek out technological solutions to problems that may arise in a school environment.
The ICT Club has extended the reputation of the College, nationally and internationally in the past few years.
As Mahamaya Girls’ College students are gain both theoretic and practical knowledge in media, programming, graphic design, and other aspects of ICT, we hope to get involved in many school activities in the future.

Achievements in 2020

• An online ICT day was held for the first time in the Kandy District.
• The ICT club emerged as 1st Runners-up at the ICT Quiz Competition, organised by the ICT club of Kingswood College, Kandy.
• Thavinsa Karandawala was awarded as the 1st runners up in Regional Robotics Championship 2020.
