SENIOR SINHALA DEBATING SOCIETY

The society was established in 1950’s on the idea of encouraging the students of our school to actively participate and discover their talents in debating.

ACHIEVEMENTS

• Achieved the district first place in “Mage deshaya awadi karnu mana” debating Competition held by the student union of peradeniya University in 2018.

• Our debate team won the championship in B division of the “Governors trophy 2019” organized by the university of Peradeniya.

• District 2nd place in the “Inter school Thirasara debate competition” in 2021.

• Got selected to the top 8 schools in the national level debate competition held by  Law faculty in 2021.
